Adding more Ram/Memory
Describes both Technic and Minecraft Launchers
Pixelmon Generations sometimes will need more ram than the default 1gb that comes on most launchers. It is recommended to use at least 2gbs on Multiplayer, but more is typically better. Find your launcher below and follow the listed steps to add more memory!
Open the Technic Launcher Select the “Launcher Options” button in the upper right Select the “Java Settings” tab Select the “Memory” dropdown and choose the desired amount
Open the Minecraft Launcher Select the “Installations” tab Select your profile for Pixelmon Select the “More Options” button In the “JVM Arguments” box, change "-Xmx1G" to your desired amount. Example: "-Xmx4G"
Can’t select above 1gb of memory? You need to install a 64bit version of Java from this page https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp! For Windows, download Windows Offline (64-bit)
Locating a crash report
Describes both Technic Launchers, Minecraft Launchers, and Server
Crash reports are sometimes necessary to help find the cause of crashing issues. Find your launcher below and follow the listed steps to get a crash report!
Locate your “.technic” folder. (Windows: Windows Key + R and search “%appdata%”) Find the “modpacks” folder and the “pixelmon-513-pro” folder Open the “crash-reports” folder and get the most recent one Send the file or upload the contents to a website like PasteBin
Locate your “.minecraft” folder. (Windows: Windows Key + R and search “%appdata%”) Open the “crash-reports” folder and get the most recent one Send the file or upload the contents to a website like PasteBin
Locating the config folder
After updating the mod, it is suggested to regenerate your Pixelmon configs. This will reset the files, but the newer settings will appear.
You can Regenerate your files by deleting
BetterSpawnerConfig.json by hand and restarting the modpack or deleting the whole /config folder (may lose custom settings on other mods, if added in the pack).
In your search bar type
Technic will automatically regenerate your /config folder after each update.
It can still be done by hand by typing in the search bar
server files folder (it can be located in your pc or on the hosting service website, depending on the service)
Open it and search for /config folder.
It is almost always recommended to use the latest version available for Pixelmon Generations as bugs are usually patched fairly quickly. Please make sure you’re using the latest version first!
The current recommended version is Forge 1.12.2 - 22.214.171.12447. Using an earlier or later version may result in bugs or failure to load! Please make sure you’re using this version unless otherwise stated.
For servers, we currently recommend SpongeForge 1.12.2-2838-7.2.2. Using an earlier or later version may result in bugs or failure to load! Please make sure you’re using this version unless otherwise stated.
All publically available side-mods can be downloaded at the bottom of the Pixelmon Generations downloads page. Here
Every Sidemod listed as "Server" will have a SpongeForge dependency and will not work if used in Single Player.
